Lane Gainer Sports began in 1980 with a single product: The original Exer-Swim™️ small pool stretch tether.

Exer-Swim was a simple product to solve a simple problem brought about by the exploding new sport of Triathlon. The Ironman®, along with many upcoming local triathlons, required participants, many who were bikers and runners, to learn and train for Open-Water swimming. 

The Exer-Swim converted backyard and hotel size pools into endless swim lanes for this new wave of endurance athletes. Exer-Swim made a big splash and so began the pursuit of solving niche training problems for a wide range of sports. 

From those humble beginnings, Lane Gainer has solved training issues for several sports and many of the best athletes in the world. Our product solutions have served hundreds of thousands of high school and college athletes, thousands of Olympians, a dozen World Champions, and even some GOATs in Swimming, Track and Football.

Nearly fifty years down the road, we are proud to have loyal coaches, dedicated athletes, and many athletes who have become coaches, still leveraging our solutions to help athletes reach their goals. 

Over the years we have learned there is a difference between consumers and customers.
