LANE GAINER™ Competitive Swim Belt

from $65.00

The Lane Gainer Competitive Swim Belt with 30 ft of latex tubing is used for resistance and speed-assisted swim training by the best swimmers in the world. The 30 ft tube is designed to stretch to 75 ft. The length and tension of tubing may be varied by adjusting the size of tubing loop below six hole guide on the original belts. A reversing tether ring on the swimmer's belt allows for directional changes off the wall - so no stopping to turn around. This is very useful for IM training. Resistance swims are great for strength work early in the season. Speed-assisted swims are great for finding the best streamline positions and for fast high turn-over swims (without full exertion) during taper.

Warning: This product contains latex.

Lane Gainer Swim Belts are available in standard Blue tubing resistance and elite Black tubing resistance.

Blue tubing is recommended for most high school and collegiate programs.
Black tubing is used for nationally ranked high school swimmers and collegiate programs based on the purpose of the workout.
Black tubing is a $10 upgrade.

Our swim belts have reliably been used by highly competitive athletes in swim programs around the world since 1984.
The tubing is very strong and dynamic but by the nature of use and environment can break. A safety measure consisting of a high-tensile Internal Safety Rope (ISR) threaded internally through the tubing serves the purpose of reducing the risk of "snap-back" if the latex tubing breaks. The ISR is an important safety measure although it has the drawback of wearing out the tubing much faster than swim belts without the ISR. Tests at NCAA D1 schools have shown the tubing with the ISR lasts approximately half the time of the standard swim belts.
Belts have a two year tubing expiration date to safeguard them against being kept in service for too long.
ISR is a $20 upgrade.

Attach by threading waist belt through loop on opposite end. Do not use knots.
Use any positively stationary object near or in pool, such as a handrail, ladder, or diving board foot.

Assisted swims are not recommended.
Avoid chafing the tubing.

See the Swim Belt safety sheet for further details.
